For more than a decade, Pat McGee was a dedicated volunteer with Friends of Pathways.

Whether he was planning, lending a hand, or staying until the very last thing was packed away, he was committed to making each event a success because he believed deeply in Pathways’ mission.

As a devoted husband, father to three girls, and proud papa, Pat’s kindness, outgoing personality and willingness to help anyone in need left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Pat passed away unexpectedly on November 12, 2025, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire those whose lives he touched.

Pat’s Padres honors the spirit and legacy of Pat McGee, the original Padre, by bringing together men who are ready to lend a hand, make connections, and support the mission of Pathways to Independence. Through service, teamwork, and community, Pat’s Padres strives to be a positive and encouraging presence in the lives of our clients by leading by example through kindness, respect, dependability, and a willingness to show up when needed.

Ways Pat’s Padres Can Support Pathways

  • Annual Event Set-Up & Take-Down: Provide the extra hands and muscle needed to set up and break down our annual fundraiser.
  • Annual Event Crew: Be part of the team that makes the event run smoothly, helping beverage areas, moving supplies, and wherever an extra set of hands is needed.
  • Client Move-In Support: Help our clients move into Pathways housing by moving furniture, boxes, and household items.
  • Pathways Property Projects: Take on occasional hands-on projects at our Pathways buildings, such as assembling furniture, organizing storage, yard clean-up, painting, or other small improvement projects.
  • Help Set Up Pathways Events: (other than fundraisers): Graduations, Art Show, Emerging Philanthropist of Pathways (EPP) events.
  • Community Ambassadors & Connections Help: introduce Pathways to new people and businesses in the community, opening doors to potential sponsors, auction donors, restaurants, breweries, volunteers, and other supporters.
