The Emerging Philanthropists of Pathways was established in 2023 for the purpose of offering young professionals the opportunity to learn about philanthropy through Pathways to Independence, networking, leadership, and community engagement.

Our Vision is Clear:

Empowering a generation of compassionate leaders, The Emerging Philanthropists of Pathways envision a future where every individual is equipped with the resources and opportunities to thrive. Through dedicated collaboration, innovation, and unwavering commitment, we strive to build a community where empathy, inclusivity, and generosity reign, creating lasting transformations and leaving a profound legacy of positive change.

Our Mission

The Emerging Philanthropists of Pathways consists of young, dynamic leaders united by four key objectives: advancing the mission of Pathways to Independence, empowering and involving fellow young professionals and philanthropists, fostering active engagement in networking and leadership pursuits, all with a shared aim of making a positive impact on our community.

Get Involved

Social Events

Social events are a great way to get to know members and attract new members while enjoying fun activities with Long Beach, Seal Beach, and Huntington Beach Professionals. These events provide a relaxed and social atmosphere while networking with a broader base and staying connected to the EPP vision.

Volunteer

Pathways to Independence is always in need of volunteers. Members can participate in a variety of ways: use their skills or expertise to provide a meaningful workshop for our clients, prepare final goodie bags & move-out boxes for grads, prepare a Sunday night dinner, work a couple hours at our annual event, purchase from our Amazon wish list, or participate in our volunteer day at our Pathways buildings.

Fundraising

Pathways to Independence relies on gifts from the community to support our mission. Help plan fun such as the Pickleball & Pints in August. Be a part of the planning and get to know other members.

Leadership

Join our leadership team to help set our calendar of events, learn more about how non-profits are run, and chair one of the various social and fundraising events. Volunteering with our leadership committee helps to prepare you for future membership on a non-profit or philanthropic board.
