With classes starting again things can get a little stressful, especially when it comes to making and eating good meals. So I want to share one of my favorite, quick morning recipes that you can make for some extra energy before class.
~Strawberries & Cream Oats~
Ingredients:
● 1⁄2 cup oats
● 1 cup almond milk
● 1⁄4 cup diced strawberries
● 1⁄2 a banana mashed
● 3 tbsp maple syrup
● 1⁄4 cup strawberry yogurt
● Salt
Optional:
● Honey
● Granola
● 3-4 sliced strawberries
● 1⁄2 a banana sliced
What to do:
Heat milk, oats, banana, salt and syrup in a small pot over medium low heat stirring occasionally. Once the mixture starts to thicken, add diced strawberries, let cook to desired thickness. Remove from heat and serve topped with honey, granola, yogurt, remaining strawberries, and banana.
Tip: for different flavors switch out the strawberries & yogurt for your favorite fruits and flavors – for chocolate I recommend adding chips off the heat to prevent burning :]
