Education, Healthcare, Therapy and Mentoring for Young Women in Need

Friends of Pathways

In 1996, Pathways to Independence was struggling financially, and ready to close it’s doors. Along came a small group of can-do women who formed “Friends of Pathways” (FOP) to raise money for Pathways to Independence (PTI).

We started with a bang, hosting a progressive dinner party in Park Estates in October of 1996. The generosity of that first group of guests enabled 12 students to begin their journey on the path to Independence. We have grown from a gathering of a handful of Friends to a committee of over 90; with over 500 guests in attendance each year. 2016 was a banner year for our Fundraising event – over $600,000 was raised at our “Cruisin’ Route 66 in the Park” event.

Our Friends of Pathways committee remains strong, however we are always looking for new friends to join our group.

In addition to the joy of “giving back”, we also benefit from enduring friendships formed while working alongside other women who are equally committed and big hearted. We welcome any questions you may have and look forward to having you as a friend.

Friends of Pathways welcomes all levels of commitment from our volunteers:
  • Join us to plan the event
  • Help us with auction items and sponsorships
  • Pitch in on the day of the event.

Your involvement will make a big difference!

Cruisin’ Route 66 2016 – Raises $600,000!

With over 500 tickets to the party sold and $42,000 in Opportunity Tickets realized even before the event took place, our Friends of Pathways volunteers just knew that this year’s fundraiser was going to break all records! Prior to Saturday night, there were more sponsorships received, more donations given, more restaurants that wanted to participate, more positive words about Pathways buzzing through communities, than ever before!
